NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Red Boiling Springs High School won their second Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Level Award, recognizing the outstanding achievement of registering 100 percent of the eligible student body to vote. Today, Civics Engagement Coordinator Christian Cervantes had the honor of presenting the award.
“The commitment displayed by Red Boiling Springs High students and faculty is always impressive to see,” said Secretary Hargett. “To achieve Gold Level status for the second time is a great achievement, and this recognition reflects their hard work.”
The Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Level Award represents the highest distinction in Tennessee’s student voter registration initiative, honoring schools that demonstrate exceptional commitment to civic duty. Secretary Hargett commends Student Ambassadors Jadon Halliburton and Haley Willis for their hard work in the initiative. Red Boiling Springs High School was also awarded
the Silver Level in 2023 and 2024.
Senator Ken Yager and Representative Kelly Keisling are strong advocates for civic engagement, not only in their districts, but across the state of Tennessee. Macon County Administrator of Elections Barry Doss provides support throughout the registration initiative.
The Anne Dallas Dudley Awards program is open to Tennessee public, charter, private and homeschool associations. It is named for Anne Dallas Dudley, who helped lead the successful effort to ratify the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, granting women the
right to vote. Tennessee became the 36th and final state to ratify the amendment on Aug. 18, 1920.
