Secretary of State Tre Hargett Presents $22,500 Construction Grant to Obion County Public Library

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett presented a $22,500 construction grant to the Obion County Public Library on Thursday as part of a larger renovation project aimed at improving the library’s facilities for the entire community.

“This grant will help expand the creative resource center, a space they had outgrown, and ensure the Obion County Library remains a top-notch place for the citizens of Obion County,” said Secretary Hargett. “I want to thank the state and local leaders for their continued support of the Obion County library.” Obion County’s legislators were essential to securing play a vital part in securing grant funding for this expansion project.


“Investing in the Obion County Public Library will solidify our community’s future,” said Sen. John Stevens (Huntingdon). “This grant will enhance our local library’s ability to provide critical resources to all who visit.”


“Libraries play a central role in our communities by supporting education, creativity and lifelong learning. This investment will expand opportunities at the Obion County Public Library, creating more space for programs and helping local families learn and grow together.
