ARLINGTON HOSPITAL AND SCHOOL FOR THE MENTALLY RETARDED BLUEPRINTS, 1965

Record Group Number 156 consists of the blueprints for the Hospital and School for the Retarded, located in Arlington, Tenn. and operated by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. This construction was authorized by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1964, by legislation signed by Governor Frank G. Clement and recommended by Commissioner of Mental Health and Mental Retardation Dr. Nat T. Winston. Each phase of construction of this facility are listed by contract. There were four contracts involved with this capital outlay. These blueprints are part of a series of blueprints given to the Tennessee State Library and Archives by the State Planning Office. It should be noted that several of the images on the microfilm are vague due to technical problems in microfilming blueprints.
