Update: Imaging Orders & Microfilm Digitization

  • Thank you for your patience during our move. We are now able to accept new imaging orders. As the transition from the old building to the new one continues, some materials are currently unavailable as they are being moved. Therefore, some of our collections will not be available for us to digitize until further notice. Please email us at to see if your order can be fulfilled at this time.

To inquire about an order, please follow these instructions: 

  • Send a question to or fill out this form. Staff will contact you within 2 business days to start the quote process. Include your name and email address so staff can reply.
  • If you know the image you wish to order, include the following on the contact form: 
    • Your name, mailing address and phone number
    • Title of item
    • Link where you found the item
    • ID#
    • Collection Name
    • Do you want a print or scan?
    • If a print, how large? Available paper sizes
    • If a scan, what resolution and file type? Not sure what to order? See the table below for help.
    • Professional Printing or Publication

      Master quality TIF (resolution determined by size of original item, minimum 400 dpi)


      Presentation, Blog, Social Media

      Lower resolution JPG (300 dpi JPG)

      Many are available to download for free on TeVA provided that you include our courtesy line, "Courtesy of the Tennessee State Library & Archives." If not available on TeVA, it will need to be ordered.

  • Consult the Fee Schedule to estimate cost of your order. Final price will be determined during the quote process by the Digital Work Group.
