The cabin is located on the Nolachuckey (Nolichucky) River near the mouth of Limestone Creek, 3½ miles off Highway 11-E. Crockett, the celebrated hero, warrior, backwoodsman, statesman and Indian fighter died a hero's death at the Alamo, at the age of 49. Gift shop and picnic area available here." Here you will find on display many interesting relics of the Civil War, as well as relics that have been collected at considerable expense from various parts of the country. Among the collection you will see Grant's chair, Thomas' table, Confederate flag, and the one-horse shay used by the first Governor of Michigan. You will also see and may register your name in the largest book of its kind in the world–this book weighs 400 pounds and cost $425.00 to produce. Many prominent people from all parts of the world have registered their names in this book. The War Relic Museum is delightfully attractive, clean and inviting and you will enjoy spending considerable time here. The line of Souvenirs and Novelties is the most attractive in the South. One of the nation's 50 oldest colleges and ranked among the Top 10 liberal arts colleges in the South, the four-year Presbyterian-related school has an enrollment of approximately 900 from 20 states and 11 foreign countries. The first college in Tennessee to award a B.A. Degree to a woman, it was also the first to enroll black and Native American students, and the first in the nation to offer a baccalaureate degree in Sign Language Interpretation.

"Bicentennial Park, Maryville, Tennessee. Part of an ""U-Shaped"" Greenbelt area created in downtown urban renewal project along Pistol Creek in Maryville, Tennessee, in 1976, it was named Bicentennial Park in observance of the nation's 200th birthday. Foot bridge in foreground crosses lake in area adjoining Maryville's twin city of Alcoa. Park includes walking and jogging trails, fountain, and ducks. Blount County and Maryville, its county seat of government, were established in a single action by the Legislature of the Territory South of the River Ohio, and signed July 11, 1795, by Gov. William Blount for whom the county is named. Maryville was named for his wife Mary Grainger Blount. Nearly a year later, Tennessee became the 16th state.

Calderwood Dam on Little Tennessee River 30 miles southeast of Maryville, Tenn., along U.S. Highway 129 is part of world's first known plan for full hydroelectric development of an entire watershed. It was designed by Aluminum Company of America in 1913. Water from 232-foot high, 916-foot long dam, completed in 1930, takes short cut through 2,147-foot solid rock tunnel to powerhouse, a mile downstream and 32 feet lower. Mountain peak is 3,728-foot Little Fodderstack in foothills of Great Smokies.

Pictures include 15 of their restored cars ranging from a 1909 Model T through a 1932 Model B Ford. The brothers started their collection in 1952 with their uncle's 1916 Model T in connection with the first annual National Hillbilly Homecoming in Maryville.

It was occupied Aug. 25, 1957. Church membership now exceeds 2,000.
