Become a Poll Worker

Most Tennessee county election commissions need additional poll workers. Poll workers get paid for working during early voting, on Election Day, and attending any required training sessions. Poll workers are appointed locally based on need. Apply to become a poll worker today.

Qualifications to Be a Poll Worker

Be a registered voter if 18 or older
Be at least 16 years old
Not be a candidate or close relative of a candidate
Be able to read and write in the English language

Government Employees Who Can Serve as Poll Workers

All City, County and Metro employees (unless working directly under the supervision of an elected official on the ballot)
State of Tennessee employees
Federal employees – consult your Human Resources Department to ensure eligibility
