The Planning and Development section of the Tennessee State Library and Archives provides assistance, statewide consultation, and leadership to local public libraries throughout the state in the areas of:
- Cataloging and Interlibrary Loan
- Continuing Education
- Grants
- Library Construction
- Statistics and Data Collection
- Tennessee Elecronic Library
- Youth Services and Special Projects
With their offices located at the Tennessee State Library and Archives in Nashville, the planning and development staff work closely with the administration of TSLA and remotely with the regional library staff to provide outreach and assistance to the public libraries of Tennessee. The planning and development section consists of the following seven positions:
